Join us for a dynamic panel of international journalists sharing insights from their work around the globe. Hosted in partnership with the World Press Institute, this program highlights diverse perspectives on media, democracy, and the role of a free press. Since 1961, WPI has brought global journalists to the U.S. to explore its values, institutions, and press freedoms, building a network of over 600 alumni from more than 100 countries.

Augusta is an award-winning news anchor and reporter for Alaska’s News Source in Anchorage, Alaska. She believes that journalism is fundamentally a public service and vital to a healthy democracy. Augusta is passionate about pursuing character-based, community-enriching work that gives viewers insight into critical policies, issues, and solutions. Augusta spent several years of her career in Montana where her work focused on environmental issues, drug trafficking, and public health. Augusta also served as an education and political reporter in Oklahoma City where she investigated financial issues and abuse in school districts and covered the legislature as a Capitol reporter. She is currently working on her Master’s in Global Affairs at the University of Oklahoma and is a member of the National Press Photographers Association and Investigative Reporters & Editors.
