We’re excited to announce a new way to connect, learn, and spark conversation: the Alaska World Affairs Council Book Club!

Each month, we’ll gather to explore books that open doors to new perspectives on our interconnected world. From memoirs by global leaders to works of international fiction, history, and journalism, every selection will help us think more deeply about the people, places, and ideas shaping our times.

The book club will meet on the second Thursday of each month in Eagle River and is open to anyone who enjoys good books and great conversation. Whether you’re a lifelong reader or just looking for a reason to pick up something new, this is a welcoming space to share ideas, ask questions, and connect with fellow globally minded Alaskans.

WHY JOIN?
  • Engage with international ideas through thought-provoking books.

  • Connect locally with others who are curious about the world.

  • Discover new perspectives that challenge and inspire.
