Are you ready to test your knowledge of global events and international issues?

Academic WorldQuest is a dynamic, team-based competition where high school students tackle challenging questions about world affairs, geography, history, and culture.

Hosted by the Alaska World Affairs Council, this annual event brings together Alaskan students to engage in friendly competition while expanding their global understanding. And don’t worry—this competition is for everyone! Whether you’re already passionate about international topics or just starting to explore them, WorldQuest is open to all students regardless of prior knowledge. It’s a great way to learn in a supportive, team environment.

Participating in WorldQuest not only deepens your knowledge of international topics but also opens doors to future opportunities in global careers—whether in diplomacy, international business, or non-profits. Plus, you’ll have the chance to network with peers and mentors who share your passion for world affairs!

The winning team will receive a $2,000 travel scholarship to compete in the World Affairs Council of America’s national competition, which takes place April 27-28, 2026.
