Hosted by the Alaska World Affairs Council, this fast-paced event allows you to connect with experienced mentors for short, focused conversations. Whether you already have a career path in mind or you’re exploring your options, Speed Mentoring is open to all high school students. You’ll get the chance to ask questions, receive advice, and learn about different career opportunities—helping you gain valuable insight into your future, no matter where your interests lie.

Event details:
- 9:30 AM – Doors Open
- 10:10 AM – Student Check-In Deadline
- 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM – Speed Mentoring Sessions
- Students will rotate through 10 mentor meetings, each lasting 8 minutes, in small groups (3-5 students per mentor).
- Students will be pre-assigned to mentors based on their career interests.
- 12:30 – 12:45 PM – Open Networking
- Students can revisit mentors they met with or connect with new ones.
- 12:45 – 1:00 PM – Pizza Buffet
