 e sold at the door.\n\n\n\n\nAlaskan Entrepreneurs:\n\nNicholas Begich has
  nearly twenty years of business and information technology management exp
 erience\, and has led and advised global development teams for clients ran
 ging from Fortune 500 companies to venture-backed startups. He is the CEO 
 and Founder of FarShore Partners\, a custom software development firm\; an
 d co-founder of Dashfire\, a start-up enabler assisting companies with bus
 iness architecture and technology development. FarShore presently employs 
 over 150 people around the world. Through Dashfire\, Begich has invested i
 n and helped to start over 40 technology-supported startups in the past se
 veral years. These firms have gone on to raise over $100MM in aggregate fu
 nding.\n\nNicholas was previously a Global Technology Manager with Ford Mo
 tor Company. He holds an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Bu
 siness with Concentrations in Information Technology and Decision Support 
 Modeling and a BBA (Entrepreneurship) from Baylor University's Hankamer Sc
 hool of Business.\n\nBen Kellie is CEO of K2 Dronotics\, a drone service c
 ompany working to deploy drones across Alaska to increase safety\, lower c
 osts\, and make new discoveries. Ben was raised as a bush pilot\, trained 
 as a mechanical engineer\, and spent some time helping SpaceX launch and l
 and rockets in Cape Canaveral. He is now obsessed with helping shape techn
 ological and economic future of Alaska.\n\nMary Miner is a co-founder of A
 tikus\, a social enterprise that expands access to capital for micro\, sma
 ll and medium enterprises through institutionally-targeted solutions roote
 d in technology\, data\, and insurance. Mary is responsible for designing 
 and managing Atikus’ social impact initiatives\, with a specific focus o
 n financial education partnerships and women’s empowerment goals. Prior 
 to starting Atikus\, Mary worked with CRAN Microfinance\, a Kiva affiliate
 \, in Cape Coast\, Ghana\, where she performed analytical research on CRAN
 ’s financial education program and worked closely with Kiva to provide u
 p-to-date borrower information directly from the field. Mary has spent ext
 ensive time on the ground in multiple African markets\, including Rwanda\,
  Ghana\, Morocco\, and Egypt. Mary graduated from DePaul University with a
  BA in International Studies\, cum laude\, and a MS in Public Service Mana
 gement\, with honors\, with a focus on microfinance.\n\nMODERATOR:\nKather
 ine Jernstrom is the Cofounder and CEO of The Boardroom\, has successfully
  built two companies\, and supported the growth of dozens more through men
 torship\, board leadership\, advisement\, and funding.\n\nKatherine grew u
 p internationally\, she has a BA from the University of Washington\, an MP
 A from the University of Alaska Anchorage and is a graduate of Leadership 
 Anchorage\, a Pew Charitable Trusts program. She serves on the board of di
 rectors for the Launch:Alaska an energy-focused startup accelerator\, Spir
 it of Youth\, The Anchorage Downtown Partnership\, the AEDC Live. Work. Pl
 ay Steering Committee\, and is an active Rotarian. At age 30\, Katherine w
 as named Top 40 Under 40 by the state-wide Alaska Journal of Commerce.\n\n
