 er\nMs Duke was appointed Australian Consul-General Los Angeles in August 
 2020. Ms Duke is an experienced senior career officer with the Department 
 of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). She was most recently Australia’s A
 mbassador to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Jakarta
 \, Indonesia\, and has served overseas as Deputy High Commissioner\, Malay
 sia\, and as Counsellor (Immigration) at Australia’s Permanent Mission t
 o the United Nations in Geneva.\n\nIn Canberra\, Ms Duke has served as Ass
 istant Secretary\, South East Asia Regional Branch\, Canada and Latin Amer
 ica Branch\, and Northern\, Southern and Eastern Europe Branch. Ms Duke ha
 s also held senior positions in the immigration portfolio.\n\nMs Duke hold
 s a Bachelor of Arts (Asian Studies) degree and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) 
 from the Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Pr
 actice from the University of Technology Sydney.\n\nMs Duke is married\, w
