 pants and is only open to current members of the Alaska World Affairs Coun

 rhub Asghar is a Pakistani Journalist who earned her MPhil degree in journ
 alism and did her Bachelor’s in Biotechnology and Mass Communication fro
 m Forman Christian College\, Lahore. Currently\, she is associated with a 
 Pakistani media industry and working with a news channel Samaa TV as a cor
 respondent and a blogger. Before Samaa she was associated with express new
 s\, where she worked as researcher for a program “Khabardar” (translat
 ion required). She also worked with Geo News as researcher and covered loc
 al bodies elections 2015 and wrote articles in Jang newspaper on certain i
 ssues. She made a radio documentary and drama on social issues. She has th
 e ability to think outside the box\, which enables her to look beyond the 
 mundane subject matter and delve deeper in the issues that makes her a goo
 d researcher. Her focus of research is mostly on current affairs\, politic
 s\, women empowerment &amp\; rights and conflict resolution especially in 
 Pakistan. She has firsthand experience of covering stories related to terr
 orism\, corruption\, politics\, health\, education and culture. Her ultima
 te goal is to eradicate corruption to make reforms in different sectors of
  Pakistan. She enjoys working in team work and possess leadership qualitie
 s. She loves travelling and socializing to explore new stories\, places an
 d people. Believing\, media as an in charge of informing people\, accounta
 bility\, righteousness and equity. She is playing her role as a proverbial
  watchdog to hold people accountable with power and authority to make thin
 gs better in Pakistan.
