Bio:
Trond-Erik Johansen is president, ConocoPhillips Alaska.
Johansen joined the company in Stavanger, Norway in 1986 and has held a variety of petroleum engineering, project engineering and operations leadership positions in Stavanger, Aberdeen, New Orleans, Houston, Jakarta and Singapore.
In 2001, Johansen became general manager for drilling and production for the UK, based in Aberdeen. In 2002, he moved to Norway to become operations manager for the Ekofisk field and later, general manager for the greater Ekofisk area. In 2005, he was named managing director for ConocoPhillips Norway. In early 2007, Johansen moved to Jakarta as president of ConocoPhillips Indonesia, a position he held until April 2008 when he was named president, Asia Pacific, Exploration and Production, based in Singapore. He assumed his current position in April 2010.
Johansen has a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim, and a Master of Business Administration from MIT, Cambridge, Mass. He also served as a reserve officer in the Norwegian Army.
