The Alaska World Affairs
Council aims to bring the
world to Alaska. Being a

rely on membership fees and
your donations. We invite
you to consider a donation

to continue and expand our
outreach, to bring more
international speakers to
Alaska, and to support and
educate more students and
teachers in world affairs …
after all, the students of
today are the leaders of
tomorrow. Please help us
achieve our goals. The

Beverly Power Memorial Fund
The Beverly Power Memorial
Fund was established in
1991. Bev Power, Mrs. James
Power, was a long-time
leader in the Alaska World
Affairs Council, donating
untold hours and serving as
President in 1968. Bev had a
great knack for inspiring
others to promote and
benefit the Council. One of
her goals was to bring well
known speakers to Alaska to
address the Council and
general public. Upon her
death in 1991 a fund was
established in her name in
an effort to meet this goal. |
