Mr. Casey is founding Co-Editor, with Nasir Aziz, of PakCast: A Weekly Audio Dialogue Between Pakistan and the West, podcasting from Seattle since July 2006, and a masthead contributor to Siva Vaidhyanathan's Sivacracy group blog. He is also the author of Alive and Well in Pakistan: A Human Journey in a Dangerous Time (Vision, 2004 and Penguin India, 2005) and has written weekly columns for the Pakistani newspapers Daily Times and The News. Based in Bangkok as a journalist from 1993 to 1998, he covered almost every country in Asia between Pakistan and the Philippines for publications including The Globe and Mail, the South China Morning Post, the Boston Globe and the Observer News Service. He has also written extensively about Haiti and covered Zimbabwe for Geographical magazine.
