Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Glen Klinkhart is the Chief Executive Officer for Digital Securus LLC, the leading Computer and Information Security Consulting firm in Alaska.

Glen’s background includes experience as a Police Computer Crime Investigator as well as a Homicide Detective with the Anchorage Police Department (APD).

He has been a State Certified Police Officer in the State of Alaska for the past 12 years. As an Investigator for the Anchorage Police Department he investigated such cases as homicides, child abuse, assaults, burglaries, thefts, fraud, schemes to defraud, traffic fatality, and various high-tech crimes such as counterfeiting, fraud, criminal use of computers, and child pornography possession and distribution.

He is a certified Police instructor and is an Instructor of Domestic Violence Issues for the Anchorage Police Department. He also spent three years as a member on the Board of Directors of the Abuse Women’s Aid In Crisis (AWAIC), which serves to shelter and aid abused women and children in the Anchorage area.

Before joining the Anchorage Police Department, Glen Klinkhart spent over 16 years as a computer consultant, instructor, and computer technician.

Glen Klinkhart has instructed hundreds of law enforcement personnel in computer crime investigation and Internet child pornography investigations.

Glen Klinkhart has lectured to hundreds of children and their parents on the risks associated with the use of technology and the Internet.

He has provided computer and investigative assistance in a number of computer-related crime cases including cases for such law enforcement organizations such as the U.S. Customs Service, U.S. Secret Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Immigration and Naturalization Service, U.S. Attorney’s Office, San Francisco Police Department, Central Intelligence Agency, University of Alaska-Fairbanks/Anchorage Police Department, Alaska State Troopers, Palmer Police Department, and the Ketchikan Police Department.

Klinkhart has published a book designed to educate parents about the Internet and how to protect their children while online. The book is entitled “A Cybercop’s Guide to Internet Child Safety” and can be downloaded for free at:
